Becky Bye is both a licensed attorney and licensed dentist and practices health, life sciences, and technology law. She also volunteers as a dental clinician and as a volunteer vaccinator for the Colorado COVID-19 relief efforts.

As a lawyer, licensed healthcare provider, and devoted life-long learner, she brings a unique blend of clinical training with a legal and business acumen that enables her to dissect healthcare and business issues in highly regulated industries, including healthcare, life sciences, technology, and software.

Becky practiced law in the public and private sector for nearly one decade before attending

dental school. Her legal background includes representing Fortune 500 companies at an

AmLaw 200 law firm, working as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Colorado,

serving as an attorney and advisor for a cabinet department of the federal government for 5

years, and litigating healthcare matters for a boutique firm.

In dental school, she was elected President of the Colorado Chapter of the American Student

Dental Association and also served on the board for her student chapter of Alpha Omega. After

graduating and practicing general dentistry in the Denver metropolitan area, Dr. Bye merged

her passion for law and the health sciences as a health law attorney. She currently devotes

most of her time to a global non-profit playing a large role in this pandemic.

Dr. Bye has remained active in the legal community throughout her legal career. She has served

on the University of Denver Sturm College of Law Alumni Council, the Denver Bar Association

Docket committee, and previously chaired the Colorado Bar Association Young Lawyers

Division. She is a member and immediate Past-President of the Judge William E. Doyle Inn of

Court, and in 2012, was selected as one of two lawyers in the country to work with barristers in

the United Kingdom for the Inns of Courts’ prestigious Pegasus Scholarship program. Dr. Bye

is also very active with her undergraduate alma mater, Coglate University; she is the former

President of the Colgate Alumni Club of the Rockies and is currently on the Colgate University

Alumni Council.

Throughout her career, Becky has consistently contributed to the legal and healthcare space by

publishing numerous articles and giving frequent presentations on various topics, including

issues involving relevant federal and state regulations, legal and business issues, and

compliance. She has also spoken to students at nearby institutions as an adjunct professor and

guest lecturer.

Becky’s areas of interest include healthcare technology, biotechnology, life sciences, telehealth,

research and development, healthcare software data use and privacy, and healthcare-related

transactions.

Becky Bye received her Bachelor of Arts degree with High Distinction from Colgate University

with a double major in Chemistry and Religion. She received her law degree from the

University of Denver Sturm College of Law and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the

University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Bye met her husband through their mutual involvement in the legal community. She is a

proud mom of a young son and one cat. In her free time, she enjoys traveling the world,

watching British costume dramas, and anything that involves her undergraduate alma mater.
